Home Free Global Nomads: Roaming Across North America First Edition

We did it, we purchased our first recreational vehicle on Tuesday, 10Sept in Indiana. We looked online and locally while in Grand Rapids.  We found out about the Leisure Travel Vans through a blog that weighed the quality, livability and drivability of many rigs.  We drove to Holland, MI to the only dealer in the area for this product and fell in love with them.

We drove the 2014 Leisure Travel Van Serenity back to Grand Rapids, handles like a car, performance is good. We are still trying to figure things out but we packed her then drove east to New England to see friends and family for a few weeks before we head to Florida.

Our new home on wheels, named Untethered
LTV Serenity is 24.5 long
What a beauty, we are the proud parents of our new home on wheels

We spent a couple of days cleaning her inside and storage bins.  This rig is new, still smells like a new car does when purchased on the lot.  Clean, lots of storage space inside and 40 cu. ft. of outdoor storage.  Once we finished packing, we were ready for our first trip.

Come in and take a look

Road trip started early, we left on Saturday 14Sept for Ohio to Gary and Tom's house.  Gary joined us for the trip to Jack's in NH.  Great traveling, made easy with the ability to get up and get water or snacks while we are driving along.

We stayed with Jack for the first portion of our trip then moved south to Warwick Neck, RI to see Karen.  The weather was fantastic, we sat out on her back deck playing cards at night.  We took a couple of excursions walking Rocky Point, a morning trip Conimicut Lighthouse and Cathedral by the Sea.

We made it for the 3rd annual Burncoat Bears Octoberfest gathering. We could not believe the weather, blue skies and 80+ degrees. We had a great time, saw friends and made new friends.

Another gorgeous day, the day of the Octoberfest was just as lovely
Beautiful landscaping all around the property
We spent the night here
Afterwards we set out on the road to Cumberland, RI for a visit with Madrinha (Dolores).  We took her and Grace to Slater Park in Pawtucket, RI to have a picnic lunch near the carousel.  Warm sunny day to walk about.
